Verified vs reported: what it means when you plan
Verified means the figure was read on the issuer's own dated page. Reported means it was read somewhere else and is labelled as such. Provisional and unverified mean the record does not yet carry a sourced figure. A missing number stays missing. None of these words changes because a guide would be more useful with a price.
Use a verified figure as the issuer's number on the read date. Use a reported figure as a lead, and read the issuer before you pay. Do not fill an unverified field from a forum or a trip report.
