How to verify a trail fee before you travel

Open the issuer's own page, read the figure in the local currency, and write down the issuer name, the URL, and the date you read it. If the page does not print a number, leave the amount blank. A news story, a tour operator, or an older PDF is not a substitute for the current issuer page. A signature on a record shows the text was not altered after signing. It does not show the fee is still current.

  1. Find the land manager that issues the ticket, hut booking, or park pass.
  2. Open that organisation's own page. Write the figure in the currency printed there.
  3. Record the issuer, the URL, and the date you read the page.
  4. If the page names a rule and no amount, store the rule and leave the amount empty.
  5. Check again before you travel. A read date is not a promise that the tariff is unchanged.
